Joe is leaving for Europe tomorrow. He and our friend Liz will be in Zürich for a few days before heading to Konstanz, Germany for the Meisterklasse conference where they will each present a paper to their esteemed cultural sociologist colleagues. It will be his first time in Europe, and I'm really excited for him to experience it. I think he's most looking forward to the fact that there are free bike rentals in Zürich. Plus, the University of Konstanz is right on Der Bodensee (Lake Constance), and we've heard it's breathtaking, from all accounts. Let's hope he packed his Leder hosen!
